Licensed at every level
An Ontario security agency licence and a business firearms licence from the Chief Firearms Office. Every armed guard holds an Ontario security licence, a restricted firearms licence and an Authorization to Carry.

Company firearms, company control
Firearms are owned by Talos, never by the guard. Stored in a rated vault at head office, signed out and back in at a secure issue counter every shift, with a clearing barrel for safe loading and unloading.

Requalified every year
Firearms proficiency and use-of-force requalification every year, plus Security Self Protection, crisis de-escalation and first aid, taught by our own certified instructors.

Screened beyond the licence
Background and reference checks, a driving record review and a physical and vision standard that matches the national cash carriers.

Tracked door to door
GPS on every vehicle, check-ins at every stop and a panic alert to our 24/7 dispatch centre, which watches each move from start to finish.

Cash-in-transit and armed liability insurance on every armed move. Coverage limits on request.

Route and timing plan
Primary and backup routes, safe stops and varied times, so no move becomes a pattern.
The move
Signed pick-up, a two-person team, live GPS and dispatch on the line the whole way.
Signed delivery and report
Signed handoff at the destination and a written report the same day.
Armed only when the risk calls for it. Many moves are safer done quietly and unarmed. We review every request first and recommend the level of protection that fits, not the most expensive one.

Sherri MacDonald
Over 30 years building and growing businesses in regulated sectors. Started Primary Response with Dianne Corner in 1996, grew it into one of Canada's largest female-owned security companies over 22 years and sold it to a national acquirer. Sets Talos's strategy and oversees the business.
Dianne Corner
Over 30 years operating and scaling businesses. Started Primary Response with Sherri MacDonald in 1996 and helped grow it through its sale. Runs day-to-day operations, compliance and training, and holds the agency licence.
George Pandremenos
More than 20 years leading construction management firms, including BLDR Construction Management and Avision Construction Management. Leads investment and growth, and Talos's work with contractors and developers.

Questions
Before
Are you licensed?
Yes. Talos Security is licensed as a security guard and private investigator agency under Ontario's Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005, and every guard holds a valid Ontario licence. Licence number: to add.
What areas do you cover?
Toronto, Durham Region and the rest of the GTA. Executive protection and secure transport can travel with the client.
Can you staff an event on short notice?
Often, yes. Call us with the date, location and expected crowd size and we will tell you right away what we can cover.
Can you take over from our current security company?
Yes. We plan the changeover with you, write new post orders, train guards on your site before the first shift and can offer positions to guards already working there.
How is pricing set?
By the number of guards, hours, site risks and service type. We walk the site, then send a written quote. Rates adjust only for minimum wage increases, at the same percentage, as set out in your contract.
